LONDON — Incendiary devices set off small fires in two of London’s best-known department stores early today, less than 12 hours after an unexploded bomb was found in a third store, police said.
The fires at Selfridges and Harrods in London’s West End caused minor damage and no injuries, officials said.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said police believed a single group was responsible for all the devices, all planted in furniture departments, although there was no immediate claim of responsibility.
The first device was found Tuesday in Debenhams, a store previously targeted by animal rights activists for selling fur coats.
