“Chloe in the Afternoon.” Media. $59.95. NR. After “My Night at Maud’s” and “Claire’s Knee,” this office-set 1972 film is perhaps the best-known of French director Eric Rohmer’s intelligent yet playful “Six Moral Tales.”
“I’ve Heard the Mermaids Singing.” Charter. $79.98. NR. Humorous, compassionate story of relationship between two radically different women.
“Walk Don’t Run.” RCA/Columbia. $69.95. NR. This agreeable 1966 comedy, set at the Tokyo Olympics, was Cary Grant’s last film.
“Only Two Can Play.” RCA/Columbia. $69.95. NR. English comedy from 1962 starring Peter Sellers as amorous librarian.
“Road to Rio.” RCA/Columbia. $69.95. NR. Funny 1947 entry in Hope-Crosby-Lamour series.
“The Sky Above, the Mud Below.” Lorimar. $39.95. NR. Lauded 1961 French documentary on primitive life in New Guinea.
“The Fourth Man.” Media. $59.95. R. Tensely sexual, surreal film from noted Dutch director Paul Verhoeven (“RoboCop”). Made in 1979 but not released in the United States until 1984.
“Van Nuys Boulevard.” Prism. $79.95. R. Teen romance-comedy about cruising in the San Fernando Valley, circa 1979.
“Big Bad Mama II.” MGM/UA. $79.95. R. Angie Dickinson plays the rowdy role. Also starring Robert Culp.
“Heart.” New World. $79.95. R. “Rocky”-type 1987 drama about prizefighter, starring Brad Davis.
“The Milky Way.” Media. $59.95. NR. Disappointing 1970 film from master of cinematic surrealism Luis Bunuel.
“Unnatural Causes.” New Star. $79.95. NR. Vietnam vet (John Ritter) tries to obtain benefits for comrades disabled by Agent Orange.
“Blue Monkey.” RCA/Columbia. $79.95. R. Horror film starring Steve Railsback and Susan Anspach.
“Demonwarp.” Vidmark. $79.95. NR. More horror, mixed with vengeance and featuring George Kennedy.
“Cold Steel.” RCA/Columbia. $79.95. R. Even more vengeance, as L.A. cop seeks maniac who killed his father. Stars Brad Davis.
“No Man’s Land.” Orion. $89.98. R. Another cop, one who’s after a rich-kid car thief (Charlie Sheen).
