Richard D. Fretwell has been named to the newly created post of vice president of marketing and product development for True Data Corp., an Irvine-based manufacturer of factory data collection systems. He co-founded Data Net Corp. in Miami, where he served as president and chief executive officer. Earlier, Fretwell was with the data acquisition and systems division of Burr-Brown Corp., based in Tucson, Ariz.
