College Baseball : Holden Helps SCC to First Victory

Joe Holden’s two-run single broke a 5-5 tie in the seventh inning to help Southern California College defeat Biola, 10-5, in a nonconference baseball game Tuesday at Southern California.
Josh Johnson pitched a seven-hitter for Southern California (1-4).
Carlos Salaza had a two-run home run in the fifth, and Kevin Casper had two triples and scored two runs for Southern California. Biola is 0-1.
In another nonconference game:
Chapman 14, Master’s 4--Jeff Kidwiler had three hits, including a bases-empty home run, and Jeff Mooney pitched eight innings for Chapman (5-2) at Hart Park.
The score was tied, 2-2, after three innings, but Chapman scored three runs in the fourth inning and six runs in the fifth. Master’s is 1-1.
