Tenn. Congressman, 75, Won’t Seek Reelection

JACKSON, Tenn. — Rep. Ed Jones (D-Tenn.), 75, has decided to call it quits after 19 years in Congress and will not seek reelection, he said today, but he promised to keep his hand in Democratic politics. “I must recognize that I am nearly 76 years old,” said Jones, who hopes to be remembered for his fight for the family farmer.
