We should be grateful for Rather’s perception, focus and determination.
Millions of us have now seen that our vice president chose to treat us to a self-serving outburst about his treatment by a professional news reporter rather than to answer or to state a categorical refusal to answer the reporter’s question.
The importance of what we saw? Deliberate and continuing evasion by the vice president, suggesting that his integrity is entirely gone.
