Strike Cuts Alitalia Flights

ROME — State airline Alitalia and its subsidiary ATI canceled one-third of their flights from Rome on Sunday and others were delayed because of an unofficial strike by ground staff members, airline officials said. The 17-hour strike at Rome’s Fiumicino and Ciampino airports was called as part of a campaign for better pay and conditions that has disrupted air travel for several months.
