Soldiers Harassed Crew, ABC Says

JERUSALEM — Israeli soldiers Sunday pushed and abused an ABC television crew filming troops beating a Palestinian on the occupied West Bank, a producer for the network said.
Jacques Grenier said the incident involved crew members Yoram Barkai and Israel Ohana, both Israelis. They were “taking a shot of a Palestinian being beaten up” in the town of Ramallah, he said.
“Soldiers saw them filming and became upset. They tried to grab their camera, to pull out the cables. The soldiers pushed members of the crew, grabbed their heads, abused them verbally and succeeded in tearing a microphone from them,” he said.
Grenier said the network has filed a protest with the army.
An army spokeswoman said the military was investigating.
