Prep Soccer : Oldham Lifts Mater Dei Over Servite

Paul Oldham’s goal with two minutes left in the second overtime period gave the Mater Dei High School boys’ soccer team a 1-0 victory over Angelus League rival Servite Saturday.
The victory, in front of 700 at Mater Dei, brought the Monarchs’ record to 19-1-1 overall and 5-0 in league play.
Oldham’s goal, with an assist from Mike Ammann, was his 31st of the season. Goalie Mike Reis had five saves for Mater Dei, the top-ranked team in the 4-A division.
Tom Nieto had 10 saves for Servite (12-5-1, 3-1-1). The Friars are ranked 10th in the 4-A.
In Angelus League girls’ soccer:
Mater Dei 6, St. Joseph 1--Senior Laura Spinner’s two first-half goals started the scoring for the host Monarchs (15-4-1, 5-0).
