Bellamo Paces West in Volleyball Match

Judy Bellamo of UC Santa Barbara had 6 kills, 8 digs and 3 blocks for the West team in an East-West volleyball game last Saturday at The University of Pacific in Stockton. The match, which featured the nation’s top college seniors, was won by the West, 12-10, 12-11, 6-12, 11-12, 12-10, in a 12-point sudden-death format.

Bellamo, a graduate of Glendale High, was an NCAA Division I first-team All-American. The 5-10 outside-hitter is the first women’s volleyball player at UC Santa Barbara to receive such an honor.
