Burundi’s former President Jean-Baptiste Bagaza, toppled in a coup in September, said he would ask his current host, Belgium, to deport him home. The Belgian airline Sabena said it refused to allow Bagaza on a flight to Burundi after the East African nation made it clear he was not welcome. But Bagaza, 41, said the new government of Pierre Buyoya had never forbidden him from returning. “I am going to ask to be expelled to my own country,” he said.
