Why can’t the Los Angeles Music Center Opera stop acting like Pacific Bell?
They offer tickets ranging from $70 to $25 but don’t offer the classic 30-minutes-to-curtain-time half-price or the even more venerable standing-room-only entrance.
I suppose they’re frightened that the wild applause of less affluent opera lovers will arouse their subscribers from their sleep.
