GLENDALE — A self-avowed white racist arrested last month for spray-painting swastikas and anti-Semitic graffiti on the walls of a Glendale synagogue pleaded no contest Monday to a felony charge of vandalizing religious property.
Under a plea-bargain announced by prosecutors, Joseph William Dunlap, 33, a member of a neo-Nazi organization called the National Socialist White People’s Party, will be sentenced to 28 months in prison.
Sentencing for Dunlap, who prosecutors said had been living out of his van in Highland Park, is slated for Jan. 25. He is being held without bail in Los Angeles County Jail.
