New PTL trustee David Clark ruled out the return of founder Jim Bakker and said “the days of extravagant spending on senseless things are over” at the bankrupt television ministry. Clark, the former vice president of marketing for the Christian Broadcasting Network, appeared on the “PTL Club” show to pronounce it a historic day at PTL. “The days of talking negatively about people are over,” Clark said. “We’re finished with it. Some very sad mistakes have been made. People are human. But we’re going to look beyond the past and look to the future.”
