Apartment dwellers who are subject to annual rent increases in December will face a 3.7% hike, the city Rent Stabilization Office announced this week.
Under the city’s rent control ordinance, apartment owners with units that rented for $600 or less in 1978 are allowed annual increases tied to a formula based on the consumer price index for Los Angeles County or a maximum of 8%.
All other rental units are allowed annual increases of up to 10%.
