The General Services Administration announced plans to oversee the opening of child-care centers nationwide for the offspring of federal employees. GSA Administrator Terence C. Golden told a Washington news conference that centers are planned for areas with large numbers of government workers, including Chicago; Denver; Fort Snelling, Minn., and Suitland, Md.
