Tiger International’s net jumped 1,400% to $23.12 million for the third quarter over a year ago. Revenue rose 11% to $317.3 million. Flying Tiger Line, the Los Angeles firm’s principal subsidiary, reported a pretax profit of $32.2 million in the quarter, a fourfold increase. The company said its performance continued to be favorably affected by Flying Tigers’ comprehensive revitalization program, which has yielded a strong revenue base and more competitive cost structure.
