Joel Bouzou of France won the men’s world modern pentathlon championship with a five-event total of 5,462 points at Moulin, France.
Milan Kadlec of Czechoslovakia was second with 5,454 points, followed by Laszlo Fabian of Hungary with 5,421.
Hungary was first in the team competition, followed by the Soviet Union and Britain.
