MADONNA: SMART TALK

I have usually been enamored of whatever girl was “it” for the times (for example, I had a desperate crush on Annette at age 5, fell for Farrah in the early ‘70s (pre-poster) from a shampoo commercial, etc.), but Madonna’s appeal completely eludes me. She’s less good-looking than 70% of the female population, less talented than 99% of the music industry and has the charisma of a bratty cousin that the rest of the family is sure will grow out of it.
