Mater Dei’s Conrad to Attend UC Irvine

Chris Conrad of Mater Dei High School and Aaron Mascorro from Rosemead High have signed national letters of intent to compete for the UC Irvine track team.
Conrad won the Southern Section 3-A triple jump last spring. He has top marks of 47-feet 5 1/2-inches in that event and 22-9 in the long jump.
Mascorro finished second in the 3,200 meters at the state meet and finished eighth in the Kinney National Cross-Country Championships last season. As a junior, he placed fifth in the state meet in the 3,200 meters.
