Freeway Ramps to Be Metered: On- and off-ramps along the Costa Mesa Freeway between Lincoln Avenue in Orange and MacArthur Boulevard in Santa Ana will be closed periodically from Sunday to Aug. 9 for installation of ramp metering equipment, the California Department of Transportation said. The ramps will be closed periodically from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Meters will be installed on 25 ramps in Orange, Santa Ana and Costa Mesa. Caltrans officials said the $680,000 project is scheduled for completion in September.
