Tiger International posted a $17.2-million profit in the second quarter compared to a loss in the year-ago period of $22.8 million. The Los Angeles-based parent of Flying Tiger Line said improved results and a major financial restructuring were achieved through a combination of factors, including an extensive cost-reduction effort and the implementation of a revised marketing plan at Flying Tiger.
