SAN DIEGO — Jennifer Waterhouse of Laguna Niguel shot a two-under-par 58 Thursday to win the girls’ 10-and-under division of the Optimist Junior World Golf Championship at the Presidio Hills Golf Course.
Waterhouse’s 58 gave her a three-day total of even-par 180, good enough for a six-shot victory over Jenny Hamasaki of Honolulu. Hamasaki, who started the final round in fourth place, also shot 58 Thursday.
The boys’ and girls’ 15-17 age divisions of the tournament end today at Torrey Pines with Manuel Zerman of South Africa holding a one-shot lead in the boys’ division and Brandie Burton of Rialto leading by three shots in the girls’ division.
