The theft of three computers from the state AIDS office in Sacramento was being investigated by police. Jim Morgan, deputy director of the state Department of Health Services, said that as far as he knew the three IBM hard-disc personal computers do not contain any sensitive medical data or information about individual acquired immunity deficiency syndrome patients. In any event, Morgan said, a special security code is required to gain access to the information in the computers.
