Michael Jackson’s $500,000 offer to a London medical college for the skeleton of John Merrick--also known as the Elephant Man, subject of a film and a play--was rejected, a school official said Saturday. “He offered to buy the skeleton, but the college is not going to sell it,” said Anne Anderson, duty administrator for London Hospital. The skeleton is kept by the hospital’s Medical College. “The skeleton has never been for sale, and I don’t think it ever will be,” Anderson said.
