An increase of 6% in unit volume of physical cases for all territories contributed to a strong showing for the first quarter of 1987 by Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Enterprises, which is in its first full year of operation. First quarter 1987 financial results differ substantially from the actual results for 1986 due primarily to the effect of bottling company acquisitions made in the latter half of 1986.
