Hermosa Beach : Bid for U.S. Funds Delayed

Hermosa Beach has delayed its application to a federal program designed to revitalize downtown districts. City staff had recommended seeking the funds this year but suggested that Hermosa Beach hold off until meetings with the Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Merchants Assn.
Planning Director Michael Schubach indicated to the council that chamber officials believe a similar effort could be undertaken without using federal “Main Street” funds.
