NEW YORK — New York Knicks center Patrick Ewing will miss the rest of the NBA season because of a sprained ligament in his left knee, the team announced today.
Ewing injured the knee Thursday night when he slipped on a wet spot in the first quarter of the Knicks’ 111-105 overtime victory over the Indiana Pacers. No surgery will be needed, but Ewing will have to wear a knee brace for three to four weeks, team spokesman John Cirillo said.
