The American Ballet Theatre, left, comes to the Civic Theatre with a new production of “Sleeping Beauty” on March 27-29. The full-length ballet is part of a weeklong engagement, presented by the San Diego Foundation for the Performing Arts, which will begin Tuesday and include the best of the ballet theatre’s repertoire under the artistic direction of Mikhail Baryshnikov. Three’s Company, right, will premiere three new works at UC San Diego’s Mandell Weiss Center for the Performing Arts on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. Betzi Roe’s “Necessary Avenue,” an introspective duet featuring Roe and Patrick Nollet; “Guerney,” a multimedia collaboration on euthanasia choreographed by Jean Isaacs and Nancy McCaleb; and Isaacs’ “Tabula Rasa” (blank slate), will join two recent works by McCaleb on this weekend’s repertory program.
