Motel Manager Slain During Robbery Try

LA MESA — A motel manager was shot to death with a shotgun blast during an apparent robbery attempt, police reported.
The victim was identified as Andrew David Goblirsch, 56. His body was found on the bedroom floor of the manager’s apartment at the Hitching Post motel. Witnesses told police they saw a 5-foot-8 to 6-foot man wearing a ski mask walking away from the two-story motel shortly after Thursday night’s shooting.
The motel is located at 4949 Guava Ave.
