THEY ALL BOUNCED

David Crook’s article on Peter Bogdanovich’s financial woes is an awesome and horrific example of life in Hollywood’s fiscal fast lane (“Bogdanovich’s Bankrupt Memorial,” Dec. 19).
Here is a man with total dollar assets of $47.16 boasting a $75,000 monthly income and $200,000 per month expenses including $1,000 per month for laundry and dry cleaning.
Crook neglected to describe what Bogdanovich was wearing every day. Why does Bogdanovich bother to file for bankruptcy when he appears to be surviving so splendidly? After all, the federal government has been conducting its fiscal business exactly the same way for decades without resorting to bankruptcy.
