Cal Lutheran Women Beat Pomona Pitzer

The Cal Lutheran University women’s basketball team used clutch shooting down the stretch to gain a 67-64 win over Pomona Pitzer Saturday night at Cal Lutheran.
Cal Lutheran (7-4) led, 36-32, at halftime but relinquished the advantage early in the second half. The Regals regained the lead for good with about eight minutes left in the game behind the shooting of Gloria Phillipps and Joani Thompson.
Phillipps, a forward, had 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead Cal Lutheran. Thompson added 12 points for the Regals.
