UCI Swimmers Beat Fresno State, 62-38

Artie Williams and Muro Macci each won two events to lead the UC Irvine men’s swimming team to a 62-38 Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. win over Fresno State Saturday at Irvine.
Williams, a junior, won the 50-meter freestyle (22.71 seconds) and the 200 backstroke (2:01.23). Macci, a freshman, won the 500 (4:43.83) and 1,000 (9:59.73) freestyles. The Anteaters are 5-2.
The UCI women’s team lost to Northern Arizona, 70-45.
