PIQUA, Ohio — Eight cars of a Baltimore & Ohio freight train carrying a non-toxic chemical derailed early Saturday, but no leaks or injuries were reported, authorities said.
Police and railroad officials were investigating the cause of the accident.
Authorities said the cars were carrying benzene from the Sohio facility in Lima when they left the track. Some of the cars overturned, but three of them remained upright.
None of the benzene leaked from the overturned cars, authorities said.
