Compton Community College trustees have elected Legrand H. Clegg II president of the five-member board for the coming year, replacing Carl E. Robinson.
The 41-year-old Clegg, who is also Compton’s assistant city attorney, was sworn in for a second four-year board term on Dec. 10 along with newcomer James E. Carter.
Clegg ran unopposed in the Nov. 5 election. Carter unseated Robinson by three votes.
Veteran Trustee Emily Hart-Holifield was elected vice president of the board, and colleague Jane Astredo was elected clerk.
