Ty Boyles threw a no-hitter, striking out 15, and hit a three-run home run to lead Quartz Hill to an 11-0 victory over Eastside in a Golden League game.
Quartz Hill pitchers didn’t allow a hit in 12 innings this week against Eastside.
In the Moore League, Chris Gutierrez threw a complete game to lift Long Beach Millikan past Lakewood, 1-0.
In the Pacific League, Harrison Hernandez had three RBIs in Burbank’s 8-0 win over Glendale. Angel Villagran threw a two-hitter, striking out six with zero walks. Bryan Wang went four for four in Crescenta Valley’s 7-2 win over Hoover.
In the Baseline League, Scott Burke (4-1) pitched Glendora past Rancho Cucamonga, 7-2. He struck out six. Garrett Ouellette had a home run and single. Nick Kaye also had two hits. Etiwanda defeated Alta Loma, 2-1. Josh Smith threw a complete game.
In San Luis Obispo, Westlake defeated Lompoc Cabrillo, 13-5. Zak Daniels and Matt Donovan each had three hits. Simi Valley defeated Grace Brethren, 3-1. Spencer Dubaich threw a four-hitter, striking out five. Bishop Gorman defeated Newbury Park, 8-2.
