Boys’ volleyball: Mira Costa leads in Division 1 final

Manhattan Beach Mira Costa has come out swinging in tonight’s CIF Southern Section Division 1 championship showdown at Cypress College.

The third-seeded Mustangs took the first set 25-19 over top-seeded Los Angeles Loyola and have an early lead in the second set of the best-of-five final.

Mira Costa is trying to avenge two earlier losses to the Cubs. These are Southern California’s top programs with a combined 17 section titles.
