Anaheim Servite withstood a spirited effort from Bellflower St. John Bosco but prevailed, 32-24, in tonight’s Trinity League matchup at Cerritos College.
It wasn’t easy, but the Friars used a time consuming drive to exhaust most of the clock at the end of the fourth quarter, leaving the Braves neither the time nor the field position to come up with a game-tying score.
Servite (7-0, 2-0) kept pace with Santa Ana Mater Dei and Santa Margarita atop the league standings and extended its winning streak to 18 games. St. John Bosco dropped to 4-3, 0-2.
