Drayvon James, a 29-year-old black man, was shot in the head and died on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Main Street and 101st Street in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s officials.
James was one of two people shot and killed, said Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner’s office. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:40 p.m., Winter said.
Robert Nelson, a 16-year-old black youth, was the other victim in the killing. Nelson was taken to a hospital where he died at 8:53 p.m. that night.
