Whoa, T.O. (No, I’m not signaling for a timeout.)
In an interview with ESPN, Terrell Owens said he could return to the NFL ‘in a month or less.’
‘I’m going to come back,’ said Owens, who tore his anterior cruciate ligament in April.
Owens, a six-time Pro Bowler, had 983 yards and nine touchdowns with the Cincinnati Bengals last season. He said whatever team signs him will get exactly what it expects.
That could be a good thing -- he’s one of the NFL’s elite wideouts. It could also bring a bit of drama -- he’s known as a controversial figure who can be moody at times.
‘They gonna get the T.O. that they expect,’ he said. ‘Don’t expect anything less.
‘I’m not gonna waste your time, so I wouldn’t expect you to waste my time. When I step on the field, you know what you gonna get.’
