Tidbits from Seattle’s 5-1 win over Angels

The game is over, Seattle winning 5-1 against the Angels, but many fans have yet to vacate Angel Stadium because hip-hop mogul Ludacris is in center field on a stage, performing all your favorite hits.

Anyway.

Despite the heavy dosage of bass that’s shaking the press box, here are some quick-hit notes from the Angels’ loss Saturday, which drops them to 62-52.

-In seven of his eight losses this season, the Angels have failed to score a run of support for right-hander Tyler Chatwood (6-8, 4.10 earned-run average). The 21-year-old rookie’s last home victory was May 22 over Atlanta.

-Angels outfielder Torii Hunter was two for four with two doubles. He’s eight for 12 in his last three games and has hits in 10 of his last 11 games.

-Angels designated hitter Bobby Abreu hit his 544th double, passing Tony Gwynn for 26th on the all-time list.

-Seattle has won four of five games and is 6-3 since a club-record 17-game losing streak.

-Seattle rookie right-hander Blake Beavan, who is 6 feet 7, threw a career-high eight innings, giving up eight hits and one run.

-Seattle rookie Trayvon Robinson, a Crenshaw High product and former Dodgers prospect, hit his first major league home run, in the seventh inning.
