Dodgers: Labor Day pregame notes

Clayton Kershaw (pictured above) will miss his next start because of a bruised shoulder, Manager Joe Torre said today.
According to Torre, Kershaw hurt his nonthrowing shoulder Sunday when he ran into the outfield wall at Dodger Stadium shagging balls.
Kershaw was scheduled to pitch in San Francisco on Saturday. Hiroki Kuroda or Vicente Padilla could start that day in his place.
Other notes:
- Casey Blake‘s strained left hamstring isn’t improving. Blake could be out for a few more days.
- Jim Thome is experiencing discomfort in his heel and won’t be available to pinch hit today.
