Hot Property: Alternative rocker sells his Los Feliz home for $1.64 million

Doug ‘SA’ Martinez, a singer and DJ for the alt rock band 311, has sold his Los Feliz house for $1.64 million.
The four-bedroom, five-bathroom, 3,145-square-foot Spanish colonial home was built in 1927 and had come on the market in July at $2,195,000. Martinez bought the home in 1997 for $650,000.
Here’s how the market is faring in that neck of the woods: The 90027 ZIP Code had 22 single-family home sales in the first quarter at a median price of $964,000, up 12.2% from the first quarter of 2008, according to MDA DataQuick. The median sales price per square foot for single-family homes was $515.
