Los Angeles and Glendale firefighters rescued a man Monday from the L.A. River near Los Feliz Boulevard, officials said.
A rescue boat pulled the man from an island in the middle of the river about 7:55 a.m., said Shawn Lenske, spokesman with the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
His condition was unknown, Lenske said. Authorities said they first received the call on the incident about 5:50 a.m.
